Never ridden a scooter before? No problem. Cycle BC’s team will easily get you on the road by giving you a free tutorial on how to ride a scooter in Vancouver before you hit the road.

6 Enjoy your ride
Hit the road and simply return your scooter when you’re done. Rentals are open-ended and you pay when you return.

19 Years or Older
All renters must be 19 years or older.

Driver's License
For BC residents a valid 5, 6 or 7(n). For residents outside of BC a valid drivers or motorcycle license that permits you to drive without adult supervision. Renters with a learner's license are not permitted to rent a scooter. For more information on licensing please visit ICBC

Security Deposit
Any valid major credit card, in your name, with at least $600.00 available to cover the insurance deductible.

Can I drive a rental scooter off road?
Scooters are not allowed to travel on non-paved roads. For more information, please visit our policies page.

Are there any restrictions on where I can go on the scooter?
The scooters are considered limited speed vehicles and reach a maximum speed of about 60km/hr, which means they are not permitted on highways. Also, scooters cannot be driven or parked on sidewalks or pathways, and we do not allow scooters or any of our vehicles to be used off-road.

I have never ridden a scooter before, can I still rent?
Of course! The helpful and professional staff at Cycle BC Rentals are happy to show you how. From controls to driving we make sure you're comfortable with the scooter before we get you on the road!
